VISITING THE MOTHER’S ROOM: PONDICHERRY

So I was in Puducherry (Pondicherry formerly) today. Just yesterday evening I found out that it was the Mother’s Birth Anniversary and one of the two days in the entire year where her living quarters and Samadhi are made open to the public. It was such a significant coincidence and I felt extremely lucky to avail Darshan.

What struck me was the amazingly peaceful way the Ashram managed the crowd. Only then did I remember that the Mother’s main principle was peace and this was her legacy.

HER BLESSINGS TO US:

The mother Mirra Alfassa is the founder of Auroville  (City of Dawn) which is essentially an experimental township, meant to be a universal town where men and women of all countries are able to live in peace and progressive harmony, above all creeds, all politics and nationalities. The purpose of Auroville is to realize human unity, which I could just feel in the air.

A big shoutout to Mr. Chidambaranath. Uncle, it is truly because of you that I could avail this wonderful darshan.

  1. You are lucky and blessed to be at Auroville on 21st February, the birthday of Saint Mirra Alfassa. There is a popular blessings of Annai, known in TN, that “Do not look behind, look always in front, at what you must do – and you are sure of progressing” . Thanks for the post. All the best.
